Grilled Pork Belly

Level: Moderate
Prep Time: 20 minutes (plus marinating time)
Cook Time: 1 hour
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs pork belly, skin scored
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic, black pepper, smoked paprika, ginger, and salt.
  2. Marinate the Pork Belly: Place the pork belly in a dish and pour the marinade over it. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high.
  4. Grill the Pork Belly: Place the marinated pork belly on the grill, skin side up. Grill for about 30 minutes, then flip and grill for another 30 minutes, basting with leftover marinade.
  5. Slice and Serve: Once cooked through and crispy, remove from the grill. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into bite-sized pieces.
