Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- Juice of half a lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Blanch Green Beans: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes or until just tender. Drain and immediately plunge into ice water to stop cooking. Drain again.
- SautƩ: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add almonds and garlic, sautƩing until almonds are golden and garlic is fragrant.
- Combine: Add the drained green beans to the skillet. Toss to coat with the butter mixture.
- Finish: Drizzle with lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, and cook for just another minute to heat through.
- Serve: Serve immediately while hot, garnished with additional almonds if desired.
