Ingredients:
- 3–4 lb boneless pork shoulder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Buns, coleslaw, or pickles for serving
Instructions:
- Season the pork with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Place the sliced onion in the bottom of the slow cooker and set the pork on top.
- Whisk together the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily pulls apart.
- Remove the pork, shred it with two forks, and discard excess fat.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
- Serve on buns with coleslaw or pickles.
