Ingredients
For the Apples:
- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
For the Crisp Topping:
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Toss sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and flour.
- Spread the apples evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter with a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling.
