Salted Caramel Bourbon Sauce

Put this sauce in a cute glass bottle and you have the perfect holiday gift.

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups sugar

½ cup water

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

½ teaspoon sea salt

2 tablespoons bourbon

Directions:

Step 1: Cook sugar and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat, swirling the pan but not stirring, until dark amber, about 12 minutes.

Step 2: Remove from the heat and whisk in heavy cream, vanilla, and sea salt. Whisk in bourbon. Let cool completely, transfer to jars and refrigerate. Makes about 2 cups.
