Strawberry & Blueberry Shortcake Stacks

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Serving Size: 6 stacks

Ingredients:
1 pint strawberries, sliced
1/2 pint blueberries
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 cup whipped cream

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Toss berries with sugar and lemon zest.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Cut in butter, then stir in cream to form dough.
Drop into 6 mounds on baking sheet and bake 12 minutes.
Slice shortcakes and layer with berries and whipped cream.
